Jordan's Year of Knowledge
Jordan has not only sprouted in height, hair length and personality... she's grown as a student who loves math and reading! It's amazing to watch. Jordan is now a first grader and is really coming into her own.
This year, Jordan had the honor to be the flower girl in THREE different weddings this summer! Her first wedding was for Emily and Travis Critchfield. Second was for Jen's Uncle Chuck who married Diane. And last but not least, Jordan got to be the flower girl for her Uncle Barry's wedding to Jenn. All three experiences gave Jordan a chance to be super dressy and beautiful. Jordan is also very skilled at properly distributing flowers all the way down the aisle. Jordan played t-ball again this year and continues to dance. Jordan also joined the swim team this summer and made a grand return to soccer. |
Last year, Jordan decided she wanted to help more kids attend her awesome limb-difference camp, Camp No Limits, by raising money in honor of her December 29th birthday. It was a huge success so we decided to do it again this year. We started earlier in the year and we even had a fundraiser in honor of the re-release of the Finding Nemo movie. So far, we've raised more than last year and it is a big point of pride for Jordan. Jordan had a chance to talk about camp on TV earlier this year:
Speaking of pride, the local newspaper wrote an article about our blog, Born Just Right, and how Jordan had a chance to meet college softball player, Hayden Filson. It was a very sweet article and it's helped us continue to spread our message of "you can do anything" to even more people.
Jordan says this year's highlights included our trip to Maine, another great Camp No Limits Missouri, visiting Kentucky, dancing and Uncle Barry's wedding. You can stay in touch with her on her blog, the blog's Facebook page and even send her a message to her email account that is managed by her Mom.
