Cameron's Year of HUGE Growth
Cameron is a guitar and piano playing, robotics-programming, video game-playing, blogging and 5K running expert. This year, Cameron started discovering activities he really loves. Not only does he enjoy programming and music, he's starting to really rip it up on the soccer field and running trail.
Cam is now in fifth grade... The last year of elementary school in our town. He and Jen started running at the beginning of the year and since then, he's completed two 5K's with her. He also joined his school's running club. He's thinking about joining the local track club this Spring. If you're curious, we try to take running pictures on a fun website. Other highlights of the year include, meeting one of Cam's favorite authors, Jeff Kinney. He's the author of the Wimpy Kid books. He also met one of his favorite sports stars, New Orleans Saints back up quarterback, Chase Daniel. Super cool. |
Cam says his trip to Maine, his Uncle Barry's wedding in North Carolina's Outer Banks and all of our Mizzou tailgates were also really cool highlights of the year. Did we mention how thrilled Cam is now that he has three awesome cousins in his life? Cam really adores them and it was really special to be there at Uncle Barry and Aunt Jenn's wedding.
This year, Cam played kid pitch baseball, joined the swim team for the first time and is learning to be a really good goalie in soccer. He starred as "Donkey" in his Spring Break theater camp performance of Shrek. He also helped his school launch a robotics program. He's now enjoying his second year with his school's robotics team and looks forward to competing with his Lego Mindstorm in 2013. He's just launching a video game and app review blog and he has a chance to review toys for Imperial Toy on a website called KidzVuz. Here's a look at one of his reviews:

Cam is a bit of a giant in the family. At 10 and three-quarters years old, he's already hit five feet. He's taller than some of our grown up family and friends. That's kind of wild considering his parents' height. His mom is managing his various online properties and has an email she monitors if you'd like to reach him.
